How to Play
Team Game
In team Pirate Ball, every player has a paddle and stands in a circle. The first player must hit the ball 5 times without the ball hitting the ground, then pass to the next player on the 5th hit. The next player also completes 5 hits. This goes around the circle until it reaches the first player again. Then, without letting the ball touch the ground, each player must hit the ball 4 times. Then 3, 2, and 1. Players win if they count down to 0 without ever dropping the ball.
Once you've mastered that, count down from 10. Or 20. Or down from 5, then up to 5. Play until it's time to go inside (or until you run out of beer).
Solo Game
In the solo version of Pirate Ball, your goal is to keep the ball in the air for as many hits as possible. Count your hits and see how high you can score! The only rule is that once within every set of 25 hits, you must take a sip of your drink.
Your game's over when the ball hits the ground.
